Valencia has talent building with AI. What it lacked was a place for that talent to meet, get better, and turn side projects into companies. BaseFounders exists to close that gap, and to make Valencia a city where founders from anywhere choose to build, and builders from here compete anywhere.
We're a non-profit association run by founders who ship. No corporate innovation theater, no slide-deck-only ecosystems. We measure ourselves by one thing: how many people in this city are building serious things with AI, and how far they get.
Everything we do fits one of three layers.
A community with a physical center of gravity. Builders demo what they're working on, tear apart each other's products, and compete against a clock. Some weeks that's a demo night. Some weekends it's a hackathon. The format changes; the point doesn't: real work, shown to people who can judge it.
For those ready to commit, we run a structured program for a small group of founders. Working space, hands-on operators, access to partners and capital, and the pressure of a cohort moving at the same pace. Few spots, high bar.
The same builders who run BaseFounders also help companies put AI to work. That keeps us close to real problems, funds the association, and puts our founders in front of the businesses that could become their first customers.
